My client makes smart, efficient and secure body-worn video systems that transform the jobs of frontline workers.
Their world-leading products operate in situations of heightened tension, danger and fear. These are situations that for some people are all in a days' work. My clients products provide reassurance, confidence and support for those people. They make their job better. They currently supply and support cameras and software to clients in 35 countries. We have operations in the UK, the USA, Australia, India and Hong Kong and our international activities are growing rapidly.

The Role

As a Front-End Developer, you will be part of a small agile team responsible for delivering robust solutions to managing Digital Evidence captured from our own Body Worn video cameras. As the business moves to the Cloud you will be engaged in a host of cutting edge Web technologies deploying to the Azure cloud.
Required technical skills include:

Object Oriented Programming
JavaScript / jQuery
CSS3 & Bootstrap
Responsive web design
Web APIs
Visual studio 2015
TFS or GIT as source control
Problem solving skills
React and Flux
Entity Framework
Experience working with any Cloud solution (AWS, Azure)
Databases and SQL Server
Hosting web applications on IIS on different editions of Windows

Key responsibilities

Self-starting developer able to work with minimal direction in a rapid changing environment
Contribute to the design of software solutions, bringing in fresh thinking and offering constructive feedback
Report progress on development at daily stand-ups and escalate issues or slippage in a timely fashion, identifying remedial action to keep the project on track
Share & document technical and domain knowledge to improve support and eliminate single points of failure
Ensure all development goes through appropriate approval, test and deployment processes
Create and maintain strong working relationships with other members of the delivery team. Engage professionally with global business users and suppliers as required
Demonstrate a logical and structured approach to time management and task prioritisation to deliver work within project timelines and budgets. Be able to organise own time, schedule tasks for completion and deliver work to that schedule
Demonstrate eagerness to learn new technologies to help improve the software and software development process
