Product Manager / Owner

Location: London

Salary range: up to £75,000 pa


Our client, a global Media organisation are looking for a hands-on Senior Product Manager to come in and work on an exciting client facing web application. The successful Senior Product Manager should be delivery focused and organised with a good eye for detail; They will have a strong background in web-based projects and demonstrable experience working on client facing applications. The successful Senior Product Manager will have the freedom to develop new ideas, and the opportunity to work with key business stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle to take these ideas from conception to delivery.


Key responsibilities:

  • Develop a clear technology roadmap in support of the client's business strategy and objectives.
  • Manage the product/solution lifecycle, from inception to delivery.
  • Manage the product backlog
  • Perform scoping, requirement gathering and analysis with business owners and key stakeholders, sharing feedback and managing timelines
  • Develop and maintain documentation of business requirements
  • Work with the team to develop a comprehensive set of requirements that address all defined customer needs, ensuring effective communication to assure a complete and consistent understanding of the requirements.
  • Liaise with relevant stakeholders at all levels of the business to ensure they are aware of product developments
  • Chair regular user forums to ensure that the product continues to deliver business benefits, and gather product enhancements that drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop, document, and deliver reporting both periodically and on an ad hoc basis.
  • Support business users by providing product knowledge during training, UAT and go live activities


Key skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable Experience as a Product Manager in a dynamic, commercial environment
  • Experience working in an agile development environment within the technology space
  • Consistent track record of gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories/functional specifications
  • Demonstrable experience of maintaining a backlog of requirements in a central repository
  • Experience with web development products
  • Ability to facilitate workshops
  • Strong IT research software analysis skills
  • Comfortable working in a Project Management capacity
