My client is a pioneering developer of specialist tech solutions for the pharmaceutical industry. Due to sustained organic growth, my client is urgently seeking a talented senior developer to join their team. Their product is an industry-leading platform for which they are adding new functionality and features. You will be expected to support both the existing software and work on strategic improvements. This will also include sophisticated design and code generation products.

They offer a professional, collaborative and friendly environment where hard work and innovation produce great software.

This is a permanent opportunity, offering renumeration of circa £50,000 pa, potentially higher for a candidate who ticks all the boxes.

Your core skills will include:

  • Full stack development experience;
    • Strong object oriented development skills. C# .NET is essential
    • Database technologies; SQL Server (Oracle, MySQL also acceptable)
    • Integrations with 3rd parties; APIs
    • Front-end development skills; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong coding and debugging skills
  • Able to estimate accurately and report progress and risks to project management
  • Writing unit tests, test driven development
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to overcome technical challenges
  • Self-motivator with a willingness to learn new skills
  • Superb attention to detail and accuracy

Beneficial skills:

  • Agile and test driven development methodologies
  • OOP design
  • XSLT
  • SVN or other source control product
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry

The successful candidate will ideally hold a 1st Class or 2:1 degree level or equivalent in a computing or mathematical subject.

Candidates are typically graduates with a relevant degree and a track record of working on their own personal projects
