Job Description

You will be allocated on our main project : ATRIAS. This project will prepare our client in the energy sector for the change of market processes planned beginning of 2020. Together with all the main stakeholders on the energy market (energy suppliers, the distribution grid operators and one single clearing house) a new market model and improved market processes will be developped.
This function will be partly fulfilled for PMO tasks and partly for PM tasks.
The PM is responsible for a/multiple project track(s) within Atrias. He ensures that the agreed requirements are delivered on time and within budget. He/she will ensure the complete delivery of the solution by integrating both IT and business stakeholders for this track(s), where ensuring will be based on the satisfaction of the users of the implemented solution.

The PMO provides, as central point, information and guidance on standard Project Management practice and actively pursues the application of these standards within the project for all the different project tracks. He/she gathers, consolidates and prepares project information in order to support project management decisions and enabling effective and optimized project implementation.

Communication of the different project roles & expectations.
Responsible for all resources within specific track(s) for a successful delivery
You make and manage a project planning to deliver the IT-scope of the project track(s) on time and within budget. You will define the timelines, list of deliverables & milestones by using all necessary tools.
Next to timing you are managing the budget to complete the IT-scope of the project track(s) and keep it up to date with every accepted change request. On a regular basis you will report the status between the plan versus the actual spending. In case of irregularities you will propose solutions to get your budget back on track.
During the project you will identify in a proactive way all potential risks which can jeopardize the project (scope time quality budget) and you will propose and implement mitigation actions to overcome that the risks become issues.
You determine the quality acceptance criteria of the project track(s) before going live or passing an important milestone.

Capture, collect and consolidate project data to ensure correct and complete reporting.
Structured follow-up and regular quality insurance of Project deliverables
Guide the existing Change control process
Ensuring data quality, -consistency and coherence by performing checks. Actively pursuing complete and correct data input (e.g. Timesheet reporting, KPI input,…). Define actions to structurally optimize.
Turning data into information by performing data-analysis (variance, YTD, evolution in time, root-cause,…). Provide pro-active and comprehensive root-cause analysis.
Prepares messages and attention points to Project Manager: flags significant evolution, raises questions, figure data, pinpoints specific findings, escalates where needed.
Provide input and prepare presentation material and reports based upon central data (IT, STP, IT MC). Prepare and support key project meetings (central PMO report, Steerco).
Actively promotes, supports and ensures project governance and project management practice defined.
Centralize management reporting by intelligent and efficient re-use of data sources and tools and development of standard reports or data sources to Project Managers, stakeholders and Steerco members. Align with central PMO on standard guidelines, practices and reporting.
Act in line with governance defined, checks and ensures or enforces processes defined (e.g. Gate approvals, documents required, budget increases,…)
Supports Project Managers and main data providers, explaining the processes, tools and practices in place.
Analyze lessons learned in Atrias delivery and propose improvement actions with the team.

Background

Knowledge & EXPERIENCE

a master degree or have attained comparable level through relevant experience;
at least 5 years of experience as an IT project manager, preferably in an IT applications area (SAP, Salesforce, Enterprise Bus within utility market environment). Track of successful project implementations.
master English and are at least conversational in Dutch or French;
thorough experience in working with tools as MS Project
ease in project management methodologies such as Prince2, experience in Agile and/or having methodology certification is considered an asset;
a good general understanding of business context and complex IT projects technologies and systems;
