IT Run manager

Context:

The client is planning to modernize its IT Department, specifically Cloud solutions for its users and its infrastructure. The IT Department is organised in 2 different divisions, IT Change and IT Run. The new IT Run Manager will be establishing a new team and will need to prepare and execute the changes towards new technologies (Cloud) and must integrate the new working tools (O365, Skype, …) toward the users. But he must be aware that he maintains the continuity of providing an optimal service (Service Desk). The IT Run Manager will be leading his team with keeping in mind the objectives and targets.

Description:

Managing a team (+10)

  • To be a people manager who inspires and directs his team toward the changes. To encourage team spirit, creativity and innovation
  • To be aware of the strengths of his team in order to establish the strategy and the objectives of the team
  • Recruit, lead, coach, motivate and evaluate the team members in order to make creativity and professionalism can rise
  • Be sure that, at every moment, the right tools are available to accomplish the mission and reach the objectives

Project:

  • Make sure that the results are delivered within the time schedule with the expected quality and respecting the budgets
  • To follow-up the activities of the projects and report the status, the problems (with possible solutions) and the risks (with possible counter measures) to the Project/Program manager and the CIO

Budget:

  • Participate in establishing the annual budget keeping in mind the strategy, the projects and the necessary maintenance
  • To respect the approved annual budget and report the actual status. To propose, pro-active, necessary actions to work within the predetermined budget
  • Justify al the investments relating to the "Business case" with a return on investment

  • Be a natural leader

  • The ability to motivate and inspire the team
  • Masters the standard processes of IT (eg: ITIL & ITSM tool, CoBiT, SDLC, Agile/Scrum, Project Management, CMMi, …)
  • Capable of negotiating in complex situations and obtaining the best possible outcome

Qualifications & experience:

  • Master in informatics or economics
  • 7+ years of experience in an IT infrastructure environment
  • Fluent speaking in French and Dutch and English
