Information Security Lead - Cloud / AWS

Working for a market leader the role of Cloud Security Lead is an important part of the WebOps team within this recognisable brand. You will be responsible for testing, designing, and implementing security controls and solutions driven by CISO policies and standards to reduce the risk to the company and its customers.

You will be working closely with other security specialists within the organisation to ensure adequate security solutions and controls are in place throughout all IT and cloud systems.

As Cloud Security Lead - AWS you will proactively monitor and mitigate identified risks sufficiently, and to meet business objectives and regularly requirements.

In this role you will also, identify opportunities to automate cloud security controls, designing and building those controls to address security risks and event as identified. You will help define the cloud security architecture alongside the design authority and you will be the owner of security risks and managing mitigation.

You will be an expert and lead the technical system security, cloud security, identify and access management and data protection, acting as an ambassador for the team, consistently demonstrating an analytical, flexible approach to tasks and a desire to always do a good job.

As Cloud Security Lead - AWS you will work closely with Group Information Security, Engineering, Architecture and data departments, proactively working towards achieving the team's technical goals and objectives.

You will need:

  • Significant experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS). Ideally having some form of AWS certification.
  • A thorough understanding of Cloud service, DevOps technologies & Agile methodologies.
  • Significant experience with cloud security, with a passion to make security realistic and achievable.
  • The ability to assess and understand the current and planned security posture for platforms, providing recommendations for improvement and risk reduction.
  • To contribute to the development and maintenance of the information security strategy, reviewing and sharing that strategy with group.
  • A strong work ethic with high levels of self-motivation & autonomy.
