End-to-end analyst in the domain of HR


My client is looking for an experienced end to end analyst who will get the responsibility to gather
requirements, analyse detailed functionality, define logical data model, document interfaces,
configure software packages, perform tests and ensure second line support for its HR systems.
Depending on the candidate's profile he could be asked to manage small projects or coordinate the
HRS work packages required by other projects.
Within the General Applications cluster, the selected candidate will collaborate with another HRS
analyst, a .Net developer, products specialist (available on demand), architecture and quality teams.
He is expected to become at short term the reference person for Cornerstone on Demand.

Duration: long term (more than 1 year)
Availability: full time


(List of activities the business/functional analyst could perform depending on the project scope and
team composition)

· Elicit and understand business objectives (broad outcomes the business requires) and
functional requirements (what the system, process, or product/service must do in order to
fulfill the business requirements)
· Analyze existing documentation and gather information from within the Project Team and
from the business
· Take initiatives for meetings with the business (e.g.: Monthly review meetings) and be
responsible for the follow up
· Produce business processes using a formalized notation such as Role Activity Diagrams
and/or Business Process Modeling Notation and/or UML activity diagrams and/or "Scenarios
of Use"
· Produce/maintain a detailed glossary and Business Rules
· Create logical data based on various inputs
· Produce functional system specifications that take into accounts strength and limitations of
HRS systems(mainly Xtend, Primetime)
· Produce a detailed analysis for integration of HRS systems with other general applications
(SAP, Sharepoint, etc.)
· Hand over functional analysis to technical specialists (architect, .Net developer, product
· Configure HR systems with the support of product specialists
· Produce & follow-up test scenarios on a functional level
· Review functional system specifications of peers
· Review functional component interface specifications of peers
· Give support to end users for the usage of HRS systems
· Perform recurrent system administration tasks (support monthly payroll closure, etc) or
collaborate with ICT Operations team to have it executed if relevant
· (Optional) manage small projects
Required Experience & Expertise

· Ability to deal with discretion with highly personal/sensible information
· Strong commitment to deliver high quality service
· Sound functional knowledge of HRS or commitment to master 2 most important within 6
· Familiar with Business Process Modeling techniques (including Role Activity Diagrams and
Business Process Modeling Notation)
· Sound knowledge of the following modeling concepts:

o User stories
o Information model/Data model
o Use Cases
o Sequence Diagrams
o Test cases

· Support end users in change management and standardized solutions adoption
· Written (preferably in English) and verbal (in Dutch and French) communication skills are
needed to present information in meeting and through reports
· General IT technical knowledge is an asset (database, sql, development lifecycle,
