DevOps Engineer - AWS / Terraform / Linux

A global leader are seeking an experience DevOps Engineer to join an agile development team that is responsible for delivering an enterprise system with additional message storage, retrieval and searching capabilities.

The key technologies used by the DevOps Engineers are: AWS, Terraform, Rancher, Docker, Ansible, Linux, Vert.x, Kafka, Hazelcast, ZooKeeper, PostgeSQL, Mule ESB, AcitveMQ, Elastic Search, S3, Java, Ngnix, Jenkins, Artifactory, Jira, Confluence and Splunk.

The successful DevOps Engineer will have experience of working in an agile team and balancing sprint commitments with ongoing plans for platform development and will also be capable of taking responsibility and working autonomously.

The candidates must have proven experience in:
AWS deployment, management, optimisation and monitoring.
Container technologies and orchestration tools (Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, etc).
Asynchronous messaging systems (Kafka, Mule, ActiveMQ)
Highly available, resilient and scalable enterprise systems.
Continuous Integration and build pipeline implementation (Jenkins).
Build and deployment automation and scripting (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Bash, Python, Ruby, etc)
Platform development and innovation.
Monitoring and alerting tools and implementation (CloudWatch, Nagios, Icinga, New Relic, AppDynamics, etc).
Supporting large scale Java applications on Linux.

The candidate must also:
Be able to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, project management, architects and developers.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation on the platform, build, deployment and monitoring solutions.
Be self-organising and able to clearly show plans and progress.

Additional desirable skills/technologies:
Experience of working in multi-national distributed teams with offshore support.
NoSQL and streaming technologies (Kafka, Storm, MongoDB, Cassandra, Hadoop, etc).
