Business Analyst - 3rd Party Supplier Mgnt - Website / Product - B2B Media Company

This is a superb opportunity for Business Analyst with 2/3yrs experience to join a rapidly expanding B2B media company based in Holborn, London. They have recently moved into state of the art offices with facilities that are excellent in very way. You will be reporting into the Lead Product Manager in this position.

This is a hands-on role which will require the management and prioritisation of Product backlogs for two leading Products, working with multiple global stakeholders and business owners. You should be delivery focused and organised working closely with our US development team, and London based 3rd party development partner. You will have a good eye for detail and be comfortable writing stories with detailed artefacts and creating requirements using paper-prototypes and lo-fi mock-ups.

Key responsibilities

  • Liaise with business owners and stakeholders to capture and validate requirements based on the Product Vision and Roadmap
  • Manage and prioritise the Product backlog and provide a pipeline of work ahead of time for the development team
  • Support the Product Owners in the prioritisation of bug and improvement requests
  • Communicate product developments and ensure the business are fully informed of ongoing progress
  • Be a go to person for support issues that relate to the .com website requiring technical investigation and resolution liaising with Operations and our 3rd party development partners
  • Create low level user stories, with high engagement from the technology team, ensuring accuracy and clarity
  • Produce lo-fi mock-ups, designs and proof of concepts to help communicate requirements and ideas
  • Facilitate workshops and deliver presentations to capture requirements and generate feedback
  • Work on a day-to-day basis with the development team and be a go to person for Sprint and feature progress
  • Review outputs with developers and the test team ensuring the final delivered solution meets the desired business objectives
  • Be an authority for the domain, working closely with management to understand the business strategy, goals, objectives and roadmap in order to enable that business unit to achieve them
  • Support business users to smooth transition from development activities into production by providing product knowledge during training, UAT and go live activities
  • Support the Product Managers in the prioritisation of bug and improvement requests, and that business users are kept informed on progress
  • Research activities and advise technology management and business users on new innovations and technologies within the industry

Skills and Experience


  • Experience as a Business Analyst in a dynamic, commercial environment
  • Experience working in an agile development environment within the technology space
  • Consistent track record of gathering business requirements and translating them into user stories/functional specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Office 365 suite)
  • Demonstrable experience of maintaining a backlog of requirements in a central repository
  • Experience with web development products
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to facilitate workshops
  • Strong IT research software analysis skills
  • Experience with Balsamiq, Axure or other lo-fi design tools
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Experience working with remote development teams
  • Exposure to Google Analytics, Marketo and Sitecore
  • Understanding of Search Engine Marketing (SEM), such as SEO and PPC
  • Comfortable working in a Project Management capacity
