BI Analyst / Developer

Our client, a global Media organisation are currently looking for an outstanding BI Analyst / Developer to partner with their business units across the organisation to identify business intelligence, reporting and data analysis needs. The successful BI Analyst candidate will deliver BI projects from the initial stage of requirements gathering, through solution design and development to the successful delivery, end user training and support.

Key responsibilities

  • BI Analyst will need to build understanding of company core products and services to contribute to the BI corporate strategy and vision
  • The BI Analyst will be responsible for the management of the BI system product lifecycle from creation, innovation, release through to retirement
  • The BI Analyst must have an in depth understanding of the existing BI spaces and reporting areas
  • Provide training and continuous support to all the end users of the BI platform
  • The BI Analyst will work with the business to determine business requirements and dependencies which will be used for developing the required data warehouse model
  • The BI Analyst will work with the business to design, develop and validate Key Performance Indicators, Reports and Dashboards
  • Be accountable for all BI software releases in terms of proactively planning, testing and monitoring the new version release

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrable BI experience of building and delivering BI solutions using BI technology
  • Knowledge of Data Warehouse principles and methodology
  • Experience delivering and integrating solutions, particularly across Sales and Finance
  • Strong experience of working within an agile environment
  • Proficient at least in one or more BI technology (Tableau, QlikView, MicroStrategy, Birst, etc)

Desirable

  • PRINCE 2 Practitioner or equivalent PMI accreditation
