Automated Test Lead / C# / Selenium / Postman / JMeter / SOAP UI / SQL / Neoload (optional) C#/Selenium / Writing Automated Test Scripts in C#

My client, A market leading Financial organisation urgently require an experienced Automation Test Lead to join them for an initial 3-6 month contract with possible extension/s. The successful candidate will possess at least 4 years commercial experience working with C# and be able to demonstrate Test Lead / Mentoring qualities.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

My client, A market leading Financial organisation urgently require an experienced Automation Test Lead to join them for an initial 3-6 month contract with possible extension/s. The successful candidate will possess at least 4 years commercial experience working with C# and be able to demonstrate Test Lead / Mentoring qualities.

Review the business requirements to ensure they are Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Testable.
Produce test plans to high standards.


Create automated tests using my clients automated test framework for SIT, UAT and Regression testing.
When necessary, create manual test scenarios, cases and scripts to be used during SIT and (optionally) UAT execution.
Obtain approval from the business representatives and BAs prior to commencing UAT.
Ensure all test assets are held and managed within selected Test Management tool (TFS).

Identify and provide (or arrange the provision of) any required test data.
Co-ordinate the automated test execution activities.
Manage defects within the test management tool and through defect meetings.
Produce progress reports and completion reports for the project and for senior management and are delivered within agreed project timelines.


Attend and contribute to any change request meetings to ensure thorough understanding of proposed functionality and its impacts on testing.

Liaise closely with the ST/SIT/Scrum teams and follow current procedures to assure the quality of the code for entry into UAT.
Continuously seek to optimise SIT and UAT testing and the automated test framework.
Recognise any changes necessary to existing business processes and assist the relevant project manager in ensuring the business are aware of the impact ahead of release, and have received the necessary education.
Develop and maintain knowledge of my clients core systems and current processes, as well as learning and understanding new applications as they are developed.

Qualifications/Skills/Experience
Required:
Solid understanding of SIT and UAT and what is required to deliver a quality service
Strong experience of automated test development
C#/Selenium
JMeter
SOAP UI
Postman
SQL
Neoload (optional)

Strong understanding of test methodologies and test management tools (Microsoft TFS / MTM preferable).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in order to contribute to design discussions, to review and interpret requirements, use cases and user stories, and create comprehensive test plans and scripts
Strong organisational and co-ordination skills to manage collaboration and inputs from several parties.
An excellent team player who is able to build strong relationships across the company - from business analysts through to business stakeholders
Proactive mindset to be able to use initiative to drive the testing activity forward, and to find and implement solutions to testing issues.
Positive & adaptable and able to work under pressure in a continually changing environment.
Outstanding time management skills with the tenacity to achieve tight deadlines.
A highly organised analytical and logical mind-set with a focus on quality.
A willingness to learn and implement new testing approaches and methodologies.
ISTQB certified.
