Systems Administrator Windows 2008/2012 servers, Exchange, VMWare
A contract requirement has arisen for a seasoned Systems Administrator with experience supporting Windows 2008/2012 servers, MS Exchange and VMWare. You will provide IT support for employees including remote support for non-office based customers.
Your role will involve:
Microsoft Windows 2008/20012 server administration (3rd level). Other Microsoft server application administration, including WSUS, SMS, SCCM and Exchange including mobile devices.
Maintaining relationships with third party Helpdesk provider and monitors Service Level Agreements.
Provide 3rd level LAN & On-Site Desktop support for all the Sites under his responsibility and to remote end users. Interact with internal customers in a polite and professional manner.
Plan and execute regular IT equipment refresh (Servers, Laptops, Desktops, etc)
Develop and manage VIT asset management methodology.
Maintain local area network connectivity incl. VLAN management.
Maintain up-to-date documentation of problems via the problem tracking system.
Document new help desk procedures as well as maintain documentation on troubleshooting and technology, contribute to the knowledge base as required and ensure smooth hand over to third party Helpdesk provider.
PBX/VoiP telephone system administration.
Virtual Infrastructure administration (VMware, Horizon, etc.)
Assist maintaining local contracts and maintenance agreements (such as HP, BT, EE, CDW, etc.)
You will have:
Sound knowledge of and professional technical experience with Intel based servers and PCs/laptops. Windows server 2008/2012. Windows 7/8, Citrix, VMware, NetApp (storage in general), networking (Routers and Switches).
Sound understanding of customers and their requirements
Sound understanding and application of VMS business procedures
Knowledge of ITIL or hold the ITIL Foundation certificate.
