Job Description


Provide 2nd /3rd line support, guidance and best practice knowledge. Work directly with the SAP Support team, SAP support partners, business users, super users and other key stakeholders such as our Infrastructure teams.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that SAP Support team processes, procedures and guidelines are adhered to by all parties
  • Responsible for BASIS & NetWeaver administrative tasks
  • Performing and managing installations, upgrades, enhancement/support pack updates, add-on installations, patching and maintenance of SAP NetWeaver based products
  • Solution Manager configuration, improvements and troubleshooting
  • Change and transport management across multi-tier landscapes
  • Managing the incident, problem and change management processes in the technical domain
  • Supporting functional and technical performance issue resolution and helping in RCA
  • Working with 3rd party suppliers
  • Assist with the production of development and functional specifications for new requirements
  • Assist with guidance on business processes and configuration
  • Liaise with SAP support partners, business users, super users and other key stakeholders such as our Infrastructure team
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and future SAP roadmaps
  • Production of quality technical documentation as required

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience in Solution Manager, Enterprise Portal, ERP, PI, PO, SRM, BPC, Netweaver Gateway, OpenText Archive Server, BODS, SAP router, Access Controls
  • SQL Server, Microsoft Windows, Hyper-V and Microsoft cluster administration
  • Appreciation of Fiori, UI5 and SAP GUI delivery and maintenance
  • Good knowledge in setting up and maintaining backups and DR systems
  • Appreciation of SAP security principles
  • Setting up and maintaining Central User Administration
  • Capability in supporting functional and technical performance issue resolution
  • Understanding and management of SAP Application Lifecycle Management, including but not limited to transports, support packages and system copies
  • Exposure to both internal and external audits for SAP
  • Ability to demonstrate clear and concise interaction with individuals and groups at all levels
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise and unambiguous documentation
  • Motivated to work in an independent manner, managing the deliverables allocated
  • Also able to work in close harmony with project, business and technical teams to ensure the end goal is met
