Job Description

Data Analyst role (Qlikview or Microsoft Power BI) based in Central London

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely tactical management information from CRM to project staff and senior management, and will work with stakeholders to understand and design reports for project/activity use as well as develop dynamic dashboards for staff and project teams.

Key outcomes

  • Engaging with staff to understand data requirements and advising on information requirements
  • Staff are able to make better informed decisions, based on data and evidence as the post holder designs, develops and delivers reports for projects and activities
  • Staff are able to access analysis and information themselves as the post holder will work with colleagues to scope out, then develop and deliver dynamic dashboards based on supporter, campaigning and fundraising data
  • Stronger decisions around systems and processes, in particular by proactively engaging with colleagues as we scope out business intelligence tools and a new CRM

Role requirements


  • Knowledge of QlikView and/or Microsoft Power BI systems
  • Educated to 'A' level standard or equivalent vocational qualification, specialising on the provision of tactical management information and date
  • Sound knowledge of the application of customer information in campaigning or fundraising activities, the importance of accurate data for a customer care led organisation
  • Significant experience of working with a relational customer
  • Considerable experience conducting queries and producing outputs from a supporter database including experience in using SQL query commands to write and publish management
  • Relevant experience of defining and producing tactical management
  • Advanced use of data analysis and business intelligence
  • Understand and interpret complex data
  • Proven experience of statistical analysis and ability to present data in a variety of formats


  • Degree level or equivalent qualification
  • Understanding of the impact of the incoming General Data Protection Regulation

The post sits across the CRM team, working with colleagues to understand our systems, ensure accurate reporting and sharing knowledge, and with the Performance, Development and Insight function, where they will gather a stronger understanding of the aims of the projects/activities which reports are built for and working on reports/dashboards that support and help deliver against SPD objectives.
