Android / Java Graduate - Successful Software House - Leatherhead

We need a talented, enthusiastic Android developer to help us design highly functional Android applications using cutting-edge technologies and techniques. If this is you, you will be heavily involved in the product lifecycle and must be keen to work both independently and as part of an experienced and highly talented wider team. In return, we offer exposure to advanced Android product development, including background services, sensor processing, API communication and commercial SDLC elements like continuous integration pipelines.

What you'd be doing:

  • Undertaking the design and development of our Android applications, including their UX
  • Employing best practice techniques, including unit testing, in all work performed
  • Actively participating in the Agile development process
  • Working closely with our Technical and Change Management teams
  • Helping to ensure the stability and performance of delivered systems through the application of suitable architecture and design under the guidance of an expert team
  • Creating and maintaining documentation as required
  • Cooperating with company stakeholders to develop requirements as part of the development process
  • Undergoing peer code reviews

  • Exposure to processing device sensor data
  • Use of on-device storage, e.g. Realm, SQLLite

  • Test tools
  • Version control, release management
